Kashan Hanif currently works as a Data Specialist at Aga Khan University, where he integrates disparate data sources into cohesive systems, allowing for real-time analytics and insights. One of the most rewarding aspects of his work is seeing how his contributions directly improve educational policies and student support systems. Each step of his journey, from the classrooms of Teach For Pakistan and The Citizens Foundation to leading academic data analytics at AKU, has been driven by a singular vision: to leverage data for the betterment of education. His decade-long career in the education sector, encompassing various academic and administrative roles, has been a testament to the power of data-driven decision-making. He strongly believes that data, when properly harnessed, can bridge the gap between potential and achievement.
His project idea is to educate youth about climate change and sustainable development through an interactive online learning platform and a series of podcasts featuring environmental professionals on a dedicated YouTube channel. The ultimate goal is to raise awareness, impart knowledge, and inspire action among young individuals by creating a community of informed and empowered change-makers who can lead sustainable initiatives in their communities. This project is aligned with SDG 4.7: Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship and SDG 13.3: Build Knowledge and Capacity to meet Climate Change.
